Participated in
Summer Streets NYC today (kinda). I say kinda because to fully experience it, you need to be on a bike. Considering I don't have a bike out here (yet), I had to enjoy the event at a much much slower pace.
So what's Summer Streets? It's kinda like
Sunday Streets in San Francisco, or
Oaklavia in Oakland. Some streets in the city are closed for bikers, walkers, roller bladers, etc so people may enjoy their streets in a way they normally wouldn't. I've had the chance to bike down the Great Highway along the coast in San Francisco thanks to these events.
Now, while I wasn't able to really experience the event, there were at least other slightly entertaining things going on:
