The King of Limbs
Radiohead
Release Date: February 18, 2011

It's not hard to see Radiohead's transition from groundbreaking 90s alt rock 5 piece from Liverpool to groundbreaking late 2000's electropop/rock/whatever the hell it is 5 piece from Liverpool. The King of Limbs is Radiohead's first album release since 2008's In Rainbows which was unique at the time since the band released it without the backing of a major record label. As a result, they were able to employ an unorthodox method of distributing the album: by allowing people to pay what they wished to download the mp3s. Being a cheapskate myself, I got the album for a $1 and I'd have to say it's been one of my better music purchases in the past decade.

While The King of Limbs isn't a far cry from the sort of trippy sound the band has been cultivating since Kid A in 2000 (which would mean that they've been a tripped out electronic-ish band longer than they've been an alt-rock band now), Radiohead's followers for the most part are willing to buy into the fact that the band can do no wrong no matter what the hell they release.

I am proud to say that I fall into that category.

The first supposed single and associated music video has been released from their album. The video itself has garnered mixed reviews as to how you're supposed to interpret Thom Yorke's seemingly epileptic dance moves:

...but the internet at once saw an opportunity to make this their own, and the meme came rolling in:
